Based in Auckland, our client is a highly reputable geospatial solutions company, concentrating on providing quality solutions to meet business needs. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Esri GIS Consultant and Developer with excellent problem solving skills to assist with the creation of solutions for clients.  

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, develop, implement, test and support company’s solution projects
  • Create technical documentation relating to projects or solutions developed by the company
  • Other non-development projects and general GIS Consultancy
  • To provide support on company’s products, solutions and other implementations
  • To provide technical support to the rest of the team as required
  • Develop and create solutions to a high standard and to the agreed specifications / scope
  • Provide estimates / costings to implement solutions for our clients
  • Write and assist with proposals, specifications, detailed design and other post-project technical documentation
  • Comply with project management and reporting requirements as necessary and comply with policies and processes
  • Meet KPIs (achieve minimum of 75% chargeable time and completing projects on time and to budget)

What we are looking for:

  • Must have at least 5 years commercial experience in Esri and/or software development
  • Must have knowledge of the Esri platform
  • Must have experience with ArcGIS Data Interoperability extensions or FME
  • Tertiary qualifications directly relevant to GIS e.g. geography, surveying, computer science is highly desired
  • Experience in some or all of the following is highly desired:
    • ArcGIS Enterprise, Esri applications (e.g. Collector, Survey 123, Operations Dashboard)
    • Frameworks: Angular, React, Leaflet, Bootstrap and Esri JS API
    • Python, C#/.Net/.Net Core, ASP.Net (MVC), Node, JS
    • SQL DB (SQL Server, Oracle, PostGIS, PostGreSQL)
    • MS Office
    • Project Management Software (Ontime – will be taught if necessary)
