Responsibilities:
  • Identify and report issues likely to expose the organisation to Health and Safety, legal, financial, reputational or other risk
  • Assist in preventative action initiatives
  • Limit potential adverse environmental impacts from current and future planned activities
  • Understand and assist in maintaining quality accreditation and regulatory requirements for the Victorian Operations team
  • Provide advice on training requirements and providers as appropriate & monitor training programs
  • Provide statistical analysis and trend reporting
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and hazards
  • Identify initiatives and deliver all programs to realise those improvements
  • Improve quality control and retain third party accreditations
  • Assist Team Leaders to ensure all projects are delivered safely

Requirements:

  • Diploma/degree in OHS or equivalent
  • Sound understanding of Quality Management principles
  • Auditing and inspection of projects of various types and levels of complexity
  • Document writing skills, trend analysis, hazard reporting and tender responses
  • Understanding of risk management principles
  • Knowledge of safe working practices, OHS&E principles and Australian standards
