Job Description: Fantastic opportunity for a (GIS) Pre-Sales Consultant.

As a pre-sales consultant you will be supporting the sales team to identify how they can solve customers problems. 

• Meeting customers at all level, solving their issues,
• Capturing customer requirements, compiling technical solutions using a combination of software, data & services.
• You will also be required to be present at Webinars, seminars and exhibitions.

The role requires the ability to understand the "big picture" associated with resolving organisational challenges, developing an enterprise architecture vision and the ability to present GIS concepts and solutions to both business and technical audiences.  You need to be a 'subject matter expert' around GIS with a solid technical background.

You must have:

• Proven expertise with GIS / mapping technology at the Desktop and Enterprise level.
• 2-3 years client facing experience in a Consulting or pre-sales role.
• A computer Science degree or equivalent
• Familiarity with architectural design concepts and methodologies and capable of requirements analysis and specification.
• The ability to display commercial acumen with regard to services pricing and be able to make recommendations and provide estimates to Sales for services components.

Key Skills:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills to effectively present to a wide range of audiences
• Ability to work independently in an unsupervised environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Understanding of multi-tiered architectures and integration issues
• Technical expertise in core mapping or GIS technologies such as MapInfo Professional or equivalant
• Ability to travel
