Job Description: Technical Officer - Water & Sewerage

Be a member of a multi disciplinary team that contributes to maintaining the long term performance of the company's assets.

The position will have a key role in providing technical input into the determining and managing the risk of failure of assets to provide a reliable and financially sustainable service to their customers.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor asset condition monitoring programs
• Develop and monitor asset preventive maintenance programs to manage risk
• Develop and monitor the asset renewal programs to manage risk

Essential Requirements:

• Hold an Engineering Degree or Diploma from an Australian University or TAFE.
• Working knowledge of the water supply and Sewerage system.
• Sound analytical and problem solving skills & demonstrate skills in the coordination of work programs.
• Ability to work with limited direction to display a self-managed proactive approach to resolving complex issues.
• Excellent Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly developed computer skills in the areas of word processing, mapping, spreadsheets and databases.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in the use of asset management programs such as GIS.
