Job Description: GIS Software Developer with ESRI Arcserver/ArcObjects/ArcSDE & XML

Essential requirements:

• Proven experience in developing web applications using (ESRI Arcserver / ArcObjects and Visual Studio 2008
• Experience with XML based web services  and development of .Net web pages and online tools
• Ability to work independently and communicate with future users
• Good self organisation and documenting the work
• Positive attitude, ability to multi-task, set deadlines and priorities work

Bonus requirements:

• General experience with, managing spatial data using ArcGIS or other GIS packages
• Experience in using ArcSDE and other spatial relational database systems such as ORACLE or PostGRE 
• Experiences with handling big volumes of data

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Manage web mapping services
• Implement GIS solutions using packages such as GeoServer 
• Customise web mapping pages using tools such as Microsoft Silverlight and Adobe Flex
• Evaluate, implement, maintain and train others in web mapping applications and data modelling tools.
• Communication with future users to identify their needs
• Coding, testing and documenting developed system
