What a way to start the New Year - EBR are celebrating Australia Day!
Australia Day was not always celebrated on the 26th of January, but can be traced back to the nineteenth century as marking our Foundation or First Landing Day. Australia Day is a great opportunity to celebrate being "Australian" and to acknowledge what's so great about our country.
EBR will be celebrating this amazing holiday by taking the team out for a picnic in Hyde Park! With pies and lamingtons, what better way to get to know our two new staff members Matt and Shelly.
You cannot miss this opportunity for celebration! EBR encourages all managers to take their teams out to the park or to the pub to take a break from the busy activities of the working day. Discuss what you think makes Australia different from other countries, whether it be vegemite or Neighbours!
Feel free to share with us how your office is getting in the spirit of Australia Day by emailing feedback@ebr.com.au.
For more information on the history of Australia Day, visit the Australia Day website.
